Photos of the week #7
WEEK SEVEN OUT OF 52
The best houmous in the world, and a new handcream which is dreamy. I’m putting together a post on my mission to replace everything in my make-up bag with beautiful, vegan products. Slowly but surely I’m getting there, without throwing anything away until it’s finished. This handcream is definitely making the list.
Some calm and quiet in the morning with Rasputin, and a less than calm and quiet (very) early morning with him. The little munchkin woke me up at 5am by attacking my arm with his fangs, and then spent the next two hours making sure we woke up every half an hour or so. Love you, Rasputin.
Our Valentine’s Day. My favourite ridiculous holiday of the year – yes, I love it even more than Hallowe’en! I had a special delivery of flowers at work, with a brilliant card inside, and in the evening we made pizza and watched a documentary on prisons. It was pretty much perfect.
Saturday was spent mostly walking around town for hours. Between my search for a birthday present for Trout’s Grandma, which took far too long (three hours…) and an hour spent with Trout buying ingredients for his poker night, I was pretty knackered. This coffee was very much needed, even if the coffee shop was insanely busy and I only really stopped for twenty minutes. In the evening Trout and I had a few friends over for dinner so we whipped up a Japanese feast, including two types of sushi, tempura veg, a cucumber and cabbage salad, grilled tofu and oyster mushrooms, wasabi mayo, a tahini sauce and a rice bowl with avocado and spring onions. Afterwards I was sent to my bedroom so that they could have a boy’s poker night.
