Thinking

June 16, 2011

Yesterday I took a train to London and went to my favourite museum, Wellcome Collection. It was a new exhibition which featured the writing of Mary Douglas. I am in love with the way that she thinks, and her thoughts on the placement and context of dirt. She was such a huge inspiration for the majority of my work in my final year of University. I also went to the private view of the MA show at the Slade. It was huge and didn’t feature enough sculpture, but it was exciting none the less. Seeing friends and drinking cherry beer was just wonderful.

It’s such an amazing museum! It’s an art and science museum, and their exhibitions are always brilliant.
