Time out

October 2, 2011

Yesterday I took some time out to myself and got the train up to London for some retail therapy and gallery hopping. I had a quick look at the listings for London and nothing really took my fancy, so I decided to visit one of my favourite galleries- Haunch of Venison. The shows were really disappointing though; too brash for my taste and the concepts weren’t really of interest to me. Retail therapy didn’t go too well either as I didn’t find a dress for a wedding which I’m attending next weekend, and all of the clothing which caught my eye wasn’t available in my size! Oh well, it was lovely just walking around in the sunshine.

I did, however, manage to spend a few pennies in Whole Foods, Kensington with the beautiful Naomi. I was so sad to only have a brief shopping date together, but we caught up over quinces and dribbled over sorbets. I absolutely love Whole Foods, and can’t wait for the day when I can take a trip to one in the US, which seems to have all the good stuff that the UK ones can’t stock.

I was super excited to see orzo pasta; I’ve never seen this before in a supermarket or health food store, and I love the orzo pasta salads in M&S and Waitrose!

I found these great cookies as well- they also have a berry flavour and a hazelnut flavour, but I went for chocolate chip.

I was on strict orders from Mr T to stock up on savoury things, so I picked up this corn cake from the counter, and a Saf wrap- this is so delicious! Raw vegan cheese, yum!

Of course I had to stock up on my favourite Trek bars, and they were reduced to 99p, score!

I’ve never tried any of these Clif bars- I’ve had the chocolate brownie which is AMAZING, so I’m super excited to try these!

I couldn’t resist picking up some marshmallows and chocolates from the counter!

Oh, and some strawberries! I haven’t had strawberry oats in so long, and want to enjoy them before winter returns and I have to come up with some new additions to my oats. I think this autumn will bring pumpkin oats, but we’ll see.

Today I’ve been a busy round the house; cleaning clothes, cupboards, throwing out half eaten packets of disappointing food and expired jars of sauces. I think I’m going to rustle up some strawberry oats in a minute, in time for Sunday Kitchen, before getting dressed and heading into town for when the shops open and try to find this dress. I have no idea where to start, really!

I don’t go to London very often, but when I do I try and fit in a trip to wholefoods, that place is just amazing! I had a wonderful saf salad from there last time, but that wrap looks awesome. I didn’t know they did vegan marshmallows, how exciting!

Thanks for your submission. Another point is that to be a photographer includes not only problems in catching award-winning photographs but hardships in getting the best video camera suited to your requirements and most especially struggles in maintaining the grade of your camera. This really is very correct and clear for those photography enthusiasts that are in capturing this nature’s eye-catching scenes : the mountains, the forests, the particular wild or perhaps the seas. Going to these exciting places absolutely requires a video camera that can surpass the wild’s nasty landscapes.
