Natural Sweetness

October 24, 2011

With all of the sweet treats that I’ve been cooking up lately, I needed something which was simple and healthy. Love Veggies and Yoga is a great place to search out super healthy but delicious baked goods, and I’d been eyeing these No-Bake Oatmeal Raison Carrot Cake Bites for a while before finally getting around to making them. Super simple and really delicious, make these when you need a break from chocolatey-gooey-filling-inducing-sweetness!

That’s not to say that these don’t have sugar in; they have 3 tbs of sugar shared out between the whole batch, plus the natural sweetness of dates and raisons. Once you’ve left them overnight to mould together they become really sweet and full of flavour (though I did munch one a couple of hours after popping them in the fridge, and they were still tasty!) Enjoy these as a mid-morning snack with some strawberries and a mug of coffee, or broken up over your breakfast.

I am so glad you made and enjoyed them. Thank you for blogging about them and for the nice words about my blog :)

They’ve all gone already! I think these may be on my weekly baking list!
