Catching Up

November 11, 2011

Wow it’s been a while since I last updated! Sorry for my little absence. I seem to have been very busy whilst achieving almost nothing, brilliant! At the weekend I went down to Hove to see the fireworks, which were real nice and then we drank a pitcher of beer. Sunday saw a lovely lunch-time roast with my boyfriend’s family, followed by UCMMA cage fighting in the evening, and then straight over to The Green Door Store to see Givers. What a whirlwind! Cage-fighting is a strange and intriguing world, but it was a fun night and I would go again. Givers were amazing, the atmosphere and music were wonderful.

So, what have I been up to. Well, on Saturday I had lunch out with Trout – we went to Wai Kika Moo Kau and both had salads:

I had a cajan sausage salad which was made up of lettuce, avocado, sausage and sundried tomatoes, topped with parsnip crisps.

Trout had the falafel salad, which came with 3 different dips, and a similar salad to mine with brilliantly spiced falafel.
I love this cafe – we actually hardly eat here because the menu isn’t huge, especially for vegan options, but I always enjoy lunch here. The tofu wrap is delicious too! On Saturday we also bought a bunch of toys and things for Rasputin to play with to try and tire him out a little during the day as he keeps waking us up at night wanting to play. Not fun! He has indoor cat food which has no additives etc so it’s not his food which is making him hyper.

This week has been filled with a dinner with friends, going to see The Antlers, and the good intentions of going to bed early which resulted in staying until 1am catching up with Masterchef – Professionals and Fresh Meat.

Things which I have been dreaming of lately:

Gingerbread porridge from Dorset Cereals. Tricky to find, but the search continues!

It’s nice to be so busy, usually I am frustrated that I’m not doing ‘enough’, so it’s nice to have a busy week – but I’m looking forward to relaxing and doing nothing! This weekend it’s my Dad’s birthday and I’m really looking forward to going home, seeing my family (especially my sister who I don’t get to see as often as we live in different counties now ♥) and my two doggies! Other than that I would like to catch up on some sleep, catch up on some blogs and maybe have a walk along the seafront, because really I don’t spend enough time there.

I hope everyone has lovely plans for the weekend!
