Summer Shoes – Decisions, Decisions

March 27, 2012

I seem to be a little obsessed with finding the perfect shoe at the moment. Now that I have the perfect boots, it’s time to look forward to summer – and finding the perfect pair of trainers. I haven’t bought a new pair for around three years, so I think it’s time to invest in something new. My feet have also decided to shrink a size, which is strange, so now a lot of the Vans that I own are a little too big.

Hand Drawn Dots Women’s Vegan Classics, £40
The print on these pumps is so fun!

Vans Authentic Black Mono, £44.99
Classic lace-up Vans. Practical, comfortable, I love them.

Eco ‘Converse’ Lace up G Sneakers Trainers Shoes, £39.99
I love these pair of classic white trainers, an ethical alternative to Converse.
Chinese Laundry – Vegan Tetris Woven Loafer Shoes, £59
I spotted these at VegFest and fell in love! The material and colour are brilliant.

Veja – Taua Fair Trade Leather Trainers, £79
Absolute love! ♥

I’m not really sure which to go for – I love the classic simplicity of Vans and the Eco ‘Converse’, but the burgundy are such a beautiful colour, and would probably last longer. Decisions, decisions!

I own a couple of TomToms and they’re really comfortable, so if you want something casual for walking around at the weekends or speed-walking to work, you’ll do great with a pair of them. However, they probably won’t last as long as you want them to (ie. 3 years), therefore invest in two pairs you can rotate to reduce wear-and-tear or restrict them to summer-only use. Otherwise, I’d go for the Veja trainers!

I love all of these, but I am straight away drawn to the Toms!

I have those Toms! As awesome as they look, mine have died since Christmas (both pairs). I either walk like a crazy, or they don’t last as long as you’d hope. They look and feel awesome though!
