Gluttonous

April 12, 2012

This was one of the best dinners that I’ve made for a long time and baring in mind that I pretty much just grabbed random things from the cupboards and fridge, my tummy was super happy! Here we have some roasted gluten, spicy couscous which included some roasted vegetables and chickpeas, some pasta salad, baked squash, tenderstem broccoli, houmous and some crackers. Oh, and some diced cucumber and gherkin mixed in!, and served on a bed of lettuce and rocket. Wowza!

I kept remembering roasted gluten from Kabocha Fashionista’s blog, so when I was having a hunt round our local Korean supermarket I was so excited to see a bag on the shelf! I wasn’t really sure what to do with it, so I soaked it in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes, before tossing it into a saucepan with teriyaki sauce and hoi sin sauce and let it warm gently. It was so good! Like a little bit of a chinese takeaway in the midst of a salad. Yum!

There are a few hours left to go on some of the things which I’m selling on ebay, including a hardly worn pair of Mary Jane shoes from Urban Outfitters and these great ‘leather’ and tweed brogues from Primark. Take a peek!

Mr T’s partying hard with Andrew WK this evening so I’ve had the flat to myself again! After munching on my salad I got on with baking a carrot cake for our Great British Bake Off competition at work tomorrow. Fingers crossed they love it! I’m still waiting for it to cool so that I can ice it, then I think I’ll hop into bed with a book for an early(ish!) night. I hope everyone’s week is going well!
