I just want to feel everything

June 29, 2012

Wow, this week seems to have just flown by! I’ve been pretty busy, so I suppose it is true that time flies when you are having fun!

On Tuesday we went to see Dan Andriano play in Brighton, which was just amazing. He is one of my favourite song writers; the way that he puts words together and speaks quite graphically is just brilliant, and Alkaline Trio are pretty much one of my favourite bands. On Wednesday we went to see Lightyear which was suprisingly well-behaved with very little nudity! They played amazingly, it was such a good night and so nice to see so many friendly faces! It felt like being 16 again.
Last night I had my hair cut – nothing drastic, just a well-needed trim. I hate having my haircut but the stylist was brilliant; really friendly and understood that a) I just needed a trim, and b) I don’t like hairdressers much. I think I’ll be making a return trip! Tonight I’m going to take it easy; tomorrow I start my training at the Drop-In Centre at 9.45am and am going to make sure I have a clear head. I finish around 3pm so will still have the rest of the weekend to catch up with blog-reading, laundry, baking and finally trying The Craft Beer Company! They recently opened a new pub in Brighton and I’ve been dying to pop in and see what they have to offer.

I realised this week that my little blog is One Year Old. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I decided to throw myself back into blogging. I’m so glad that I did – I’ve met even more brilliant people, tried new foods, discovered new brands, blogs and writers and am so chuffed that people actually take the time to read and comment on my blog. Thank you all so much, really.
Looking back at those first few entries is a little cringe, although I do have a soft spot for this outfit – gosh, my hair was in much better condition back then :(
I’m still obsessed with my snacky bars, though! It’s strange to think that a year ago Ryan Dunn died, or that we went to Disney Land.

Since then I have been volunteering with the soup-run for 18 months, which I love. I’ve spent a week relaxing in Greece, made marshmallow treats, went to the best wedding ever, made cauliflower falafel, made sloe gin, received amazing parcels, answered my cats questions, made a Valentine’s Day spread for Mr T,  started writing for The Handbag Fairy, ate amazing oats, spent time with Laia (♥), celebrated our 10 year anniversary (♥). I started taking part in WIAW, discovered Alpro pouring yogurt, enjoyed relaxing weekends, experimented with The Vegg, met our new niece, Sophia, got back into my crafting, celebrated Eurovision and had my first article printed in Chickpea Magazine.
I suppose it has been a pretty exciting year, now that I come to think of it :)

I hope that everyone has been enjoying their week and looking forward to the weekend!
