The divers and the sailors and the women on the pier

This weekend was filled with movies, cleaning, beer, dancing and friends ♥

It was one of those perfect weekends where you don’t have any plans and yet everything just falls into place and you feel calm. On Saturday afternoon I watched Priceless (brilliant!), did some yoga and ate a curry wrap for dinner. In the evening I met my beautiful friend Aoife for a couple of beers at The Prince Albert, a pub right around the corner. Two of her friends joined us for a drink too, and they were so sweet and inspiring. After a couple of drinks we went to the bar upstairs to investigate the DJs that were playing that evening – and it was 50s/rockabilly! Amazing! The DJ used a telephone instead of headphones, which is pretty much one of my most favourite things in the world. People were dressed amazingly, and dancing like it was the 1940s. Perfect. It was so nice to think I could have spent the night at home, just me and Ras – and instead I was dancing like I was in a Boardwalk Empire episode. Wonderful.

On Sunday I lounged around in my pyjamas and stared at the ever-increasing pile of washing up, which for some reason had not magically been done (Rasputin can be so lazy sometimes). I hunted through all of my cupboards and thankfully found a clean bowl, so I enjoyed the cereal and fruits that I bought the day before, with Alpro pouring yogurt, and watched Sunday Brunch. Perfect start to the day. I got dressed in my new playsuit and went to Taj and Sainsbury’s to pick up a few things, and then came home and cleaned the whole flat from top to bottom. Very satisfying! I made myself a socca for dinner, watched Tyrannosaur and prepared for Mr T to (finally) come home from his weekend away ♥ which included rustling up a huge salad for him, and meeting him at the station (not with my salad, I left that at home).

This week I am back to the soup-run, looking forward to having a friend round for dinner and eagerly anticipating the weekend. I have my 3rd training day with the Survivor’s Network, and me & Trout are planning on having dinner at a Japanese restaurant that we’ve had our eye on for weeks, then maybe some Tuaca Crumble cocktails.

What are your plans for the week and the weekend? Let’s hope for a little more sunshine, eh!

What a wonderful weekend, I love it when everything falls into place like that. This week I’m working on some new cupcake flavours for Operation Icing, then going to see Go Sailor at The Green Door Store tomorrow, and on Thursday I’m going to watch a movie at The Duke of Yorks.

That sounds like the perfect weekend to me. I love sofa days with lots of movies and completely shutting out the outside world. I am praying for sunshine too!

Sofa days are kind of awesome when the weather is terrible, though! Nothing like being tucked up in a duvet when it’s chucking it down outside!
