I want to be here and nowhere else rationing off bits of myself

July 14, 2012

I do love posting photographs of the delicious food that I eat, but I have come to realise something. I am not entirely sure I should be taking credit for the meals that I eat – or at least, not most of them! I do always try to state when I post a new meal whether it was my creation or Trouts. But thinking about it, most are Trouts. So thankyou Mr T, for feeding me so well!

See how well he peels potatoes ;) I would like to point out that I helped by par-boiling those potatoes! You can also see how teeny tiny our kitchen is! I still love it, though.

Here is a gorgeous bowl of japanese noodle broth, which I was welcomed home to after a slightly stressful soup-run! It was so deliciously salty, with huge chunks of tofu floating around, gorgeous udon noodles, and a handful of tender veggies. Yum!

Look how cute this mushroom is!

To say thankyou, I bought Trout some flowers. He wasn’t super impressed, as apparantly girls don’t buy boys flowers – but I love the flowers, and I love him so I don’t mind.

This was the Mexican feast he rustled up for me and a friend – we had soft tacos, with home-made chipotle sauce, garlicy mushrooms, salsa, tortilla chips and quesadillas filled with potato, vegan cheese and vegan chorizo. It was amazing!

And I couldn’t end without throwing in a couple of photographs of Rasputin. Can you see the tears in his eyes in the bottom photograph? He does this every so often, I wonder if he has dust in his eye? He cries real tears and it kind of makes my heart break when he does it, even though I know it isn’t associated with emotions, it’s still sweet.

I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend so far! I had a relaxing evening last night, and received a parcel from my Vegan Food Swap buddy which was so exciting! I will be blogging about this at the end of the month, so keep your eyes peeled. I’ll be posting my parcel on Monday, and really hope that my swapping buddy likes their goodies!

I had a really tough day of training today, with a lot of difficult subjects covered and a really hard role-play to carry out. I have so much to think about, and so many notes to write up. When I got home I did some yoga which has totally calmed my mind, and now I just feel exhausted.

I hope that the rain stops as soon as possible, as we are meant to be going out for leaving drinks with a friend tonight and the pub in question is a fair walk from our flat! Here’s hoping!

I wish my man could cook so well! Those flowers are gorgeous, I’d love some to go on my little dining table in my living room. I think little kitchens are so cute, mine is not massive either but you find a way of making it work. Hope you got a good nights sleep after your stressful day. I love how yoga can help chill you out :-)

It completely relaxed me, it’s brilliant – and I’ve recommended it to the others on the course, as part of our ‘self-care’ work. Love the flowers <3

Superb site you have here but I was curious about if you knew of any message boards that cover the same topics discussed in this article?
I’d really like to be a part of group where I can get feed-back from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest.
If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Cheers!
