I’ve wished on the lidded blue flames

August 28, 2012

Wowza, that was a birthday and a half! It was such an amazing weekend, and I feel very spoilt and grateful! So many wonderful presents, I haven’t even been able to photograph all of them. Here are the gifts that I opened on my birthday from Trout, my family and some amazing bloggers ♥

So many cards with cupcakes on! And two with New York on!!

Probably my favourite present from the whole bunch – this beautiful camera bag from Jo Totes; it has compartments for all our lenses and accessories. I’m so in love. Below that is a personalised moleskine notebook – how amazing! – and two wonderful books from Trout’s Mum & Step-Dad.

Apart from receiving an apple, this is the gift that made me laugh & laugh. It’s kind of an in-joke, but a few years ago a friend and I were talking about me being vegan, and he said something along the lines of, “I know I joke about it, but you know I think it’s cool that you quit the cheese.” It was probably the funniest thing I’ve ever heard, and now I finally have a bag with it on!!

I’ve got a few more printed and will be hosting a giveaway shortly, so watch this space!

I got so much lovely food! Coffee, Clif bars, chocolate honeycomb, a huge bundle of goodies and an adorable mini purse from Emma at The Quirky Kitchen, delicious white chocolate granola and caramel curls from Mitsu at To Happy Vegans and a brilliant parcel from Nicky at Kabocha Fashionista!

This is up there in my Top 5 favourite presents, too. It was such a brilliant surprise and funny way of presenting the gift, haha!

Two tickets to see Fiona Apple in San Francisco

Here’s Ras watching me open my pressies!

(I think he’s trying to do the splits. Obviously he’s been watching my yoga DVD and taking notes!)

I want to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday and spent the weekend with me, it was such a lovely birthday and so many happy memories. I feel completely spoilt and grateful to you all ♥
