When a dark, delicious cookie meets an icy cold sensation

March 12, 2013

Dear Oreos,

It’s been a while – we had a brief fling over in America last September, but before that… it had been years. I tried to push you out of my mind, but it was hard. I would see you every so often, and it would remind me how much I loved you. I tried to find others like you, but nothing was quite the same (although double-stuffed fudge Trios were pretty incredible). When I heard the news that you had changed – I didn’t want to let myself believe it. It couldn’t be true. And yet – it was. You were vegan again. It was so nice seeing you last week. It felt like we had never been apart. To celebrate our re-union I crumbled you into a tub of ice-cream and voila, you were Oreo Cookie Ice-Cream.

Please don’t ever leave me again. I love you so.

Yours forever (hopefully, as long as you don’t go breaking my heart again).

Your biggest fan,

Christina

Since last week I have been obsessively buying/eating Oreos, you know 4 packs a week just to make up for so many years without having them…! I might turn into a big ball of sugar, but hey, worth it!

Oreos and I have a very, very loving relationship. Probably too loving :) I’m all about dipping them in peanut butter. Mmmmm.

That ice cream extravaganza looks heavenly. You little dessert connoisseur!
