Flowers, football and family

April 4, 2013

I hope that everyone had a great Easter weekend! It felt strange having so many days off, I didn’t quite know what to do with myself. It mostly involved standing in the bitter cold watching football (we won!), relaxing at home with Trout, visiting the Brighton Food Festival, watching the most incredible movie that I’ve seen in a long time (have you watched Into The Wild? If you haven’t, I highly recommend it. It left me breathless) and spending Easter with my family at my parents house.

Here are some photographs from over the weekend.

The sweetest flowers from the sweetest friend. They’re so beautiful! Just like her.

Trout always tells me – ‘look up’, and he’s right.
When you’re walking around the city, look up and you’ll see things that you’ve never noticed before – like this funny sign. I think it’s above someone’s house!

Brilliant buskers, playing a swing version of an Oasis song.

Brighton Food Festival.

As you can see it was pretty busy!

Easter Sunday lunch with my family – so good! Homemade nut roast, carrots, leeks, greens, mashed swede, roast potatoes, broccoli…yum!

Our dogs were super happy to participate in dressing up as our Easter Bunnies…!

We ended the day with a round of my favourite boardgame – Triominos!

How was your Easter weekend? What were your plans?

Triominos!I used to play that all the time! I love the neon sign. That’s probably the best sign I’ve ever seen.
