Mini Run

June 7, 2013

On Sunday we headed out to enjoy the sunshine and meet up with two friends who were taking part in the London to Brighton Mini Run. The weather was amazing, so we took full advantage of it and sat on the beach for a picnic, yum! Lovely Rosie had made pasta salad and regular salad, plus we had houmous, tortilla chips, fresh bread and some salad tubs from  M&S. Oh, and some brilliant olives. We finished off the picnic with a punnet of strawberries – very English! It was such a great idea, and the first picnic on the beach in 2013.

So many minis! All different kinds, colours, shapes and sizes. Though we did shake our heads at the new minis that were taking part… Below is our friends’ mini Mary – she’s so beautiful!

We walked down the entire length of Madeira Drive until we reached the Marina before heading back to go to a couple of pubs for some beer and then onto Pho for dinner. It’s so nice seeing these two – Rosie and I went to uni together, and I love catching up with her. Definitely overdue a London/Kingston day with her!

Have you ever been to see the London to Brighton Mini Run?

I was confused for a minute about all the minis, I thought by “mini run” you meant actual people running from London to Brighton- although that definitely wouldn’t be a “mini” run!
Minis are so cute, especially the old ones :) And I’m always up for a picnic, have been having lots this last week.
