Saturday in the Sunshine – Beach Day!

June 9, 2013

Yesterday was spent soaking up the sunshine. Although the wind was quite strong, the sun was warm throughout the day so of course we had to head to the beach. The morning was spent hanging out with Rasputin, who absolutely loves the hot, sunny patches dotted around the flat. I left bright and early to pick up a bbq and some ingredients before heading home and making chocolate peanut butter brownies and organising the food for the afternoon. Two friends came and joined us and we headed down to the beach with our packed lunch and a few chilled bottles of beer and cider.

We used a rock to chop slices of lime on, which we put into our bottles of Corona. This was our lime stone. D’YA GETTIT?

Plenty of bottles ;)

Marinated vegan chicken pieces, stuffed into a bun with beetroot coleslaw. So delicious!

The boys watched some of the F1 qualifying. They are addicted.

Enjoying the sunshine. Look at that blue sky!

Seagulls, as much as they are fat and obnoxious, are really quite funny.

Look what we spotted on the way home! Trout is famous.

The sunshine seems to have disappeared today, but at least we made the most of it yesterday! This evening we have a couple of friends coming round for dinner and we’re cooking up a feast of Indian food, our favourite.

Have you been enjoying the sunshine? I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
