Weekend croissants

October 13, 2013

Weekends, for us, as you may have guessed, mainly involve relaxing, eating croissants, cooking good food and spending time together. A little while ago I was kindly sent a carton of Terrafertil Goldenberry Juice, so a couple of weekends ago we decided it was the perfect time to try it out.

The juice is super sweet and syrupy. It has a really light flavour, quite subtle and I think it would be perfect for most breakfast options because it doesn’t have a strong flavour.
Goldenberry juice is available from Holland & Barrett, Whole Foods Market and Planet Organic.

This weekend has been lovely, and I have the whole day to myself today. Friday we had some good friends over for a dinner party, which was really relaxing and fun. We ended the night with a few rounds of Burnout Revenge (did anyone else play Burnout when they were like 17? It was the best console game) and listening to music from when we were 17 (AFI, Blink 182, Osker, Millencolin, Capdown, Greenday, Bouncing Souls, Ten Foot Pole. Ok so not much has really changed…). It was a nostalgic evening.

Yesterday was mostly spent in our pjs, followed by some shopping, then last night I went to a friends house for dinner and a movie. We watched The Orphanage which was amazing. Such a good film. If you haven’t seen it – and you like horror movies – I would definitely recommend it. Today I think will involve coffee, a new book, some cleaning and laundry, and maybe a wonder around town. I’m having a test-run for my sister’s wedding cake, which I’m so nervous about baking! I’ll probably do another test run before the big day. We’ve not even passed her wedding day yet and we have another wedding on the horizon – Trout’s sister got engaged last night! Aah there must be something in the air, I swear everyone is getting engaged at the moment!

I hope your weekend is going well! What are your plans for Sunday?

That sounds like a gorgeous weekend. I spent most of yesterday in pjs and wooly socks surrounded by magazines, it was bliss. Hope you enjoy your Sunday evening!

Maybe it will be you and Trout getting engaged next?!
How fun to be making your sister’s wedding cake. What flavour is it going to be? Sounds like a lovely weekend. Mine’s been a bit mixed but is picking up :)

It’s going to be a vanilla sponge with vanilla frosting, and decorated with the same flowers as her bouquet, as well as berries, on top of a chunk of real wood. Hopefully, anyway!!
