Wedding Bells

October 29, 2013

So, my sister is officially a Mrs and no longer a Wilmowski!

It was such a beautiful day – they both looked so wonderful and so happy, as did all of the guests. Trout and I took a few photographs in the morning, before we left for the venue in the most amazing vintage bus. I don’t have any photos of the bus, which I’m kicking myself for, but hopefully we’ll have some great ones when we get the official photographs back.

above: her hair was absolutely stunning!
below: sisters getting ready together, watching Beauty and the Beast.

The dogs were so good while everyone was rushing around getting ready! I think Jasper wanted his hair done, too.

Me and Nat just before leaving the house.

I absolutely love this photo of the two of them. I think it really sums up the day; so in love, and so excited that they’re officially married.

As we left the ceremony this wonderful trio greeted us, singing some fantastic tunes.

Bunting to find your table number.

The venue was dressed so beautifully.

Every guest had their own pot of jam to take away with them.

Butternut squash risotto, with a dish of potatoes, carrots and the most amazing red cabbage on the side.

Pretty much the only photo that we took of ourselves at the wedding! Classic mirror shot.

Mr T looking as suave as ever.

The end of my Dad’s speech, before passing over to the Groom. All of the speeches were fantastic – really personal and funny. I breathed a sigh of relief as my Dad finished his – it was hilarious, and touching.

Boys will be boys!

The cutting of the cake.

I was so nervous about making the cake – it wasn’t particularly complex or anything, I just wanted to make sure it was perfect for them. They were really happy, so phew! The cake that I made was the one that they cut into and shared, and another bridesmaid made the hundreds of cupcakes that the guests enjoyed.

In the evening we had a live swing band, a huge cheese board (including Cheezly!) and crackers, and mini desserts for everyone. We had teacups filled with warm apple crumble, which were so cute and delicious. There was plenty of dancing, bouquet throwing, and photographs with monster sparklers in the moonlight, before waving off the happy couple, before we eventually drove home and slept very soundly with our extra hour in bed. I absolutely cannot wait to see all of the official photographers pics. There were some really fun shots before and after the ceremony, and from what I’ve seen so far they are pretty breathtaking, especially one that I’ve seen from a series that we took outside in the moonlight.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Harland! Love you both so much.
